How to use Solidk.app
Create a Solidk vault file:

Protecting your documents, notes, and passwords with Solidk.app is completed in just 4 steps:

  1. Goto https://solidk.app
  2. Add note items to enter sensitive information, such as accounts and passwords.
  3. Add document files: you can select one or multiple files. Solidk.app accepts all file types, except certain dangerous ones like .exe, .com, and scripts.
  4. Save your Solidk vault file: you’ll need to enter a master password for your Solidk vault file. It must be between 8 and 32 characters. Its should be saved on the default download folder.

To access your secured documents, notes and passwords, locate your Solidk vault file on your device and open it by double-clicking.

Your Solidk file that contain your secured data is itself a complete html application. That's mean your can access and modify your data even when your are offline.
Merge

Solidk.app’s approach is to store your secured Solidk vault files on your devices, local storage, and private cloud storage services without worry. However, by time, you could encounter synchronization issues. That’s where Solidk.app’s merge functionality comes in to help!

Use Case
Over time, you could have multiple Solidk vault files, possibly across different devices: You might edit the same file on both your smartphone and desktop, resulting in unsynchronized files. Merging your Solidk vault files to resync is easy:
  1. Copy your Solidk vault files to merge onto the device you are using.
  2. Open one of the Solidk vault file.
  3. Open the other(s): Solidk.app will automatically add newer items to the current Solidk vault and keep the most recent version of any duplicate items.
  4. Save your updated Solidk vault file: you can even set a new master password if needed.
Search options

Solidk.app offers a fast and powerful search feature, particularly useful when your list of documents and notes grows large. The search is performed at the item title level and is case-insensitive. Here are the available search options:

Keyword(s)
You can enter one or more keywords, separated by spaces, to perform a search.

Item type
You can filter by item type using the following options:
type:doc|notes

Date
You can search for items based on a specific date. Any item with a creation or update date later than the specified date will match.
Example: date:2024-04-28 or date:20240428

Date range
You can search for items within a specific date range. Any item with a creation or update date within the specified range will match.
Example: date:2024-04-28,2024-05-28

Tag(s)
You can search for items associated with specific tags.

Tags Management

Your documents, notes, and password items can be organized using the TAG(s) system. You can also manage team-related items by associating them with one or more teams through tags. Tags help you organize and export specific items into separate Solidk vault files.
  1. In your items list, click the option icon next to the item.
  2. Select Edit TAGS.
  3. Enter one or more tags, separated by spaces, colons, or semi-colons.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Your tag(s) will appear below the item title.
  6. Don’t forget to save your Solidk vault file once you've completed the tag(s) association.
Management & Export

Solidk.app offers several ways to manage your items. You can have one Solidk vault file per group of items, then merge these files destinated to specific group of users. You can also combine tags with the Flag feature for even more precise item management.

Dedicated Solidk vault files
Let say you maintain distinct lists of passwords on a Solidk vault file A, B and C. You have a user D, that need A and C:
  1. Open Solidk vault file A.
  2. Open Solidk vault file C.
  3. The lists will merge automatically.
  4. Export the merged list to Solidk vault file D by clicking the Save Solidk vault button.
  5. Set a master password for Solidk vault file D.
  6. User D may have it's own list of passwords. To keep them, he can load them, then load the Solidk vault file D to combine both sets of items.


Flag option
  1. Click on the Menu icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Flag mode is Off to enable flag mode.
  3. A checkbox will appear next to each item in your main list.
  4. Check the items you want to export.
  5. Save the Solidk vault file. The new file will contain only the flagged items.
By combining these features, you’ll have the flexibility and efficiency to manage large lists of items for small to medium-sized teams.
